I can open and edit mp4 file I have on my laptop (the editor renders the video and allow me to play my selection all fine). However, when I click preview or convert it renders completely black gif (with preview it shows each played frame in black on the slider too). I have only just installed the app from the App Store and tried to use it for the very first time. Checking the rendered gif information it is always small regardless of how many frames I select on the convert which suggest it is not a problem with playing it on my laptop but with the converting itself. Similar problem is when I try to save the selected frames as a video - it saves the mp4 for proper length but it is just a fully black video. I have tried to find any similar issues reported, but it seems nobody have this problem. Let me know if I am just doing something wrong. Thank you! Hi: First, thank you for maintaining Gifski. It's an excellent tool and has become part of many macOS workflows. I noticed that older macOS binary releases were previously available as ZIP archives, but recent releases appear to be distributed primarily through the Mac App Store and Dropbox/direct-download links, while GitHub Releases contains source code archives only. For many enterprise environments, access to the Mac App Store, Dropbox, and other file-sharing services is restricted or completely blocked. This makes it difficult for IT administrators to deploy and maintain Gifski at scale, even when they would like to use and support open-source software. Would it be possible to publish the latest signed macOS application binaries directly as assets attached to GitHub Releases? Doing so would greatly improve compatibility with enterprise software deployment and package management tools such as: Installomator: https://github.com/Installomator/Installomator AutoPkg: https://github.com/autopkg/autopkg These tools commonly monitor GitHub Releases to automatically download, package, install, and update applications. If current macOS binaries were available as release assets, organizations could automate deployment and updates using standard workflows instead of relying on App Store access or third-party download services. Thank you for considering this request
